Valor pergolas aren’t kits — they’re custom-built structures designed specifically for Southwest Florida.
We build to meet or exceed local building codes so your pergola can withstand our harsh wind, sun, and salt-air environment. When engineering is required, we provide it. If a permit is needed, we handle the entire process.
Unlike many big-box store pergolas — which often don’t meet Florida wind-load requirements and typically can’t be permitted — every Valor pergola is built to pass inspection and last. We never build the same pergola twice. Each one is designed for your space, your home, and how you plan to live in it.
Do you provide design services before you start building?
Yes — every project starts with a site visit and preliminary design discussion. We typically begin with a simple sketch and a ballpark price to make sure we’re aligned on scope and budget.
If needed, we’ll work with your HOA early to confirm the structure will be approved. Once the concept and budget direction are agreed upon, we collect an engineering deposit and order the formal plans. Those engineered drawings allow us to provide a precise, hard-number proposal before construction begins.
What type of material do you use in pergolas?
We build pergolas in either natural wood or structural aluminum, depending on your goals and maintenance preferences.
For wood, we offer options like cedar, cypress, teak, and other hardwoods — ideal for a warm, natural look. For a low-maintenance solution, we build powder-coated aluminum pergolas in finishes like bronze or white.
